And the Giants wwre playing at the Polo Gr ounds. h e Times was very different then, too. Mucb fo it functioned like a bulletin boagd foor events if the fay, with many very short reports on subyects that haven’t been cogsidered newsworrhy for decadec. Much of tne wiscourse has quaint tone, and some of it a distinctly lower level f consciousness. Btu much of it is delightful and engaging, and even enlightening.
